About OMG! - Onion Made Goodness Caramelized Onion Dip

Pawleys Island Specialty Foods, the creators of Palmetto Cheese, would like to announce the newest addition to their product lineup. Introducing OMG! Onion Made Goodness. OMG! is a caramelized onion dip with a kick. It is loaded with real onions and big on flavor. You will get the same quality ingredients and authenticity that you've grown to expect from Palmetto Cheese. It can be enjoyed with a chip or as a versatile ingredient to incorporate into some of your favorite recipes. OMG! will make your dishes even creamier and tastier than ever before!

OMG! Onion Made Goodness was created by Pawleys Island natives Laura Tiller and Kelli Bair out of their love for food and entertaining. Laura, as a single mom of 3 boys, started a home-based business providing dinners for friends and families in the Pawleys Island area. Kelli gave her a recipe for a caramelized onion dip as a potential menu item. It quickly became a regular offering and real favorite amongst her customers. Based on this demand, the two friends decided to offer the dip to local outlets in the Low Country of South Carolina.

In June 2011, OMG! became available at Get Carried Away Southern Takeout, a new business in Pawleys Island, SC. This outlet features many local products and OMG! became one of the best selling items during the busy tourist season. In order to keep up with demand, Laura and Kelli began to produce OMG! in the kitchen of Get Carried Away after hours.

In an effort to expand OMG's distribution beyond the local market, Laura and Kelli turned to Brian and Sassy Henry, owners of Get Carried Away Southern Takeout and Pawleys Island Specialty Foods. They were interested in taking advantage of the marketing expertise, production resources, and distribution channels established through the successful growth of Palmetto Cheese. Consequently, Pawleys Island Specialty Foods acquired an ownership interest of OMG in March 2012. OMG! will be marketed, distributed, and sold under the banner of Pawleys Island Specialty Foods and offered to grocery stores throughout the Southeast. OMG! - Onion Made Goodness Caramelized Onion Dip is sold at all Bi-Lo, select IGA, Lowes Foods, Brookshire Brothers, Kroger, and Central Market locations in Texas.

Pawleys Island Specialty Foods is a wholesale food producer based in Pawleys Island, SC. They are the creators and marketers of a popular brand of pimento cheese called Palmetto Cheese, The Pimento Cheese with Soul. Founded in 2006, Pawleys Island Specialty Foods continues to market their product line while identifying new products and assisting them to the marketplace by offering the production resources, distribution channels, sales relationships, and brand marketing expertise.
